Inheriting the pure intonation and fluid keywork of the original La Voix saxophones. The new La Voix II instruments return to a more traditional bell size that offers the player a tone with more focus and ease of blending. Ideal for concert band and solo playing.
We bought this as a Christmas gift for our son. Upon first sight, he was so excited and happy. During the first week, a couple of the key pads (I think that is what they are called.) came off, but this was easily fixed with some super glue. Other than that fixable problem there have been no other problems. My son is very happy with his new sax. He likes the sound, feel, etc. We feel it was well worth the money.

Pro:1) Good mechanical assembly, lacquer and overall quality.2) Convenient packaging.Cons:1) Original mouthpiece is really hard to play. I had to buy new one "Selmer Golden Tone 3" which is really nice to play.2) The tone is not uniform in all registers. This problem can be partially compensated by mastering playing skill. This is excellent instrument for its price. I remove one star because of mouthpiece but it is rather individual.

Designed with comfort and playability in mind, the 767GL features tilting G#-Bb spatula keys and adjustable action. Additional features include high F#, front F and gold lacquered body and keys. Comes with wood frame case.
I got this sax a while ago after renting a sax for a year and I have to say, it's pretty good. The sax sounds great, has reasonable key action, and comes with a nice case. Just make sure that u take it in to the shop for a quick adjustment, mine came with a slightly deformed neck that made playing in the higher octaves impossible.

No doubt about it. This horn is beautiful. The red lacquer is bright and will stand out in any crowd. I received the horn in poor condition however. The keys were so stiff they wouldn't move. Many keys didn't have proper seals. The C key was nowhere near even looking like it would close. It is obvious that this horn was not looked at before it left the factory I'm sure once the horn is in proper repair that it will play quite well. Be prepared though. You might want to plan to add a couple hundred dollars in repair costs to the price tag...

I am a music dealer
And repairman.
Any instrument can be returned for full value
As a trade in or on consignment for resale
Provided it is in the original condition.
All instruments are shop tested and adjusted
To play perfectly before shipment.
"it makes good sense to buy from people who service what they sell."
We service everything that we sell.
I have been playing sax, clarinet, and flute since 1951.
I have been repairing instruments since 1978.
My last major concert was for a host of pretty impressive guests,
Including former
President Bill Clinton, when he was in Boston with
Senator John Kerry for a fund-raising event for
Senator Ted Kennedy.
I Played in the 22-piece
John Payne saxophone choir at the Park Plaza Castle.
Security was so tight,
The secret service did background checks
On each musician
And we had to leave our instruments at the door
To be searched by white house staff.
I have owned this Tenor Saxophone for the past ten years, and I must say this is a great horn. Easy to blow in the upper and lower registers, great inntonation, reliable, and a great all around horn. I use it primarily to play in community based music organizations, and will give you a pro quality sound without the crazy pro quality price. I highly recommend this horn for intermediate Tenor players, community band members, or a great aux horn for those who play another instrument as their primary instrument!

This Cecilio Tenor Saxophone was my first sax after picking it back up from when I stopped in high school. It's a great beginner horn with quality and durable construction for it's price range. It's also a surprisingly warm sounding horn and actually worthy of playing out....and not to mention it's a beautiful looking sax under the stage lights. My only suggestion would be to lightly condition the pads as they tend to be prone to sticking if you play this sax every day for several hours each. I would also highly recommend getting a better mouthpiece as the one that comes with this is pretty cheap and is not very precise in its construction. Also get better reeds as the reeds with this horn are cheap, off brand reeds. Mouthpieces play an integral part of the sax's overall sound (arguably more than 50 percent of the sound quality) and it's important you have a good mouthpiece for sound as well as comfort. The cheap mouthpiece was the only reason this sax didn't get 5 stars, but obviously the price would be much higher if it had come with a better one.A few things to remember when purchasing a Cecilio. Cecilio is at the higher end of the cheap sax spectrum. There are much more lower quality saxophones out there and when dealing with these types of saxophones, it's important to choose a reputable dealer and not someone simply shipping a sax from some warehouse in China without ever making one last inspection of their product before shipping. If possible, try to make sure you know…

The Yamaha YAS-23 alto saxophone is an excellent choice for the student or beginning band member. The YAS23 alto saxophone features a gold lacquer body, with very durable key work. The quality that makes this one of our most recommended student alto saxophones is the intonation. The intonation is excellent and offers the beginning saxophonist an excellent start. Complete with strong plywood case, Yamaha 4C alto saxophone mouthpiece and all necessary saxophone care products
Yamaha YAS-23 if made in Japan or US is the best student sax out there. I have heard some are also made in china and are not as good. i do not know if that is true or not--but good to know so you can find out before you buy. The instrument has a serial number and stamp from where it is made.prior to this brand/model, my daughter played a Jupiter alto saxophone. in comparison to that one, this one is easier to move air through, squeeks less, and makes a much better sound.

After ten years of continued success, Palatino reintroduced its line of wind instruments in 2004 with a family that included trumpets, clarinets, flutes and saxophones. Redesigned trumpets available with nickel/silver valves and saxophones with die cast keys were just some of the new items developed for the market. The glorious line of winds matched Palatino’s efforts for quality, durability and affordability of musical instruments. This Saxophone is made from European Bell Brass and has a beautiful polished lacquer finish. It features injection-molded keys, leather pads with metal resonators and comes with a featherweight case.
Right out of the box I could tell that this was 2 and 1/2 steps up from some the students horns being offered elsewhere. The pads fit as good as any $1500 horn I've seen or played. The horn comes with two necks a plastic mouthpiece with a #4 bore. The tone is big enough to be notice in any setting. It might not be 100% true intonation, but it is darn close. You'll be very happy with this horn

When I first saw this horn I liked the way that it looked. I went on line and read all of the reviews that I could find. I found out that many people don't like this product. Many have said that the Cecilio horn is nothing but a piece of crap. Well they are all wrong. The horn is great, it has a sweet sound that makes you want to play all day long. The only thing that I can tell you is if you buy this horn, order your self a better mouth piece. The one that comes with the horn is junk. Please note I have read many reviews on Amazon and you can tell the real review from the fake ones. My review is real and I am a real horn player who has been playing for well over 25 years. The horn is worth the money that you pay for it. I'm going to buy my self a tenor next.

I've had and used this model of Alto Saxophone for 4 years! I used it in high school marching band and it's great! The keys are very well constructed, so pressing any combination of them requires little pressure and offers nice bounce back. It's very good-looking with the gold base, silver keys, white key pads (on the outside), and black accents of the thumb holders (both top and bottom). I The tone is rich and full! It can be played in marching or concert settings, and gives you a great sound for either. The pads (which are a nice, light brown color) seal the instrument well and as long as you keep it clean, it will play well for you for a long time! The reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because it does scratch relatively easily, as it does not have a lacquered finish like some of the brands. It also doesn't play with the same smoothness as some of the "higher end" brands (LeBlanc, Tempest, etc.) The case it comes with is pretty basic, and if you're traveling a lot, you can hear your stuff (mouth piece, neck strap, reeds, etc) rattling around and scratching up the instrument, which isn't great.
